GTA - N20 Timing Chain or Fuel Pump
Has anyone went in for any warranty work regarding the fuel pump or timing chain issue? If so, which GTA dealer did you go to? Read a lot on forums but nothing much from the canadians

So we don't get the same 7 year / 70k mile extended warranty for the engine like Americans do? Maybe it was only for the 3 Series but they have the same N20 engine.

If you're PRE -07/2015 this could potentially effect you. From what I've read into for a friend, the timing chain issues have been resolved with "updated" chain guides, post 07/2015. So anyone with the newer build date shouldn't be all that concerned.. First to hear of the fuel pump issue, but that's far easier to fix post warranty than a crapped out longblock do to a $20 piece of plastic, that would be the worst..
If you're PRE, you will most likely get the extended warranty coverage for this issue that other owners, here, have recently received in the mail. When my friend got his letter, he called me and asked if he should be worried, I said "not anymore?" lol..

Asked my service advisor about this issue and he said mostly the X3 N20 models received the extension and my vehicle (pre 2015 model) is not affected/ covered by the extension.
