Always been curious about these... what is the actual point of them tho? Just to get rid of that big plastic guard from the factory? No leaks with these?

Yes, it's for those that don't want to keep the large plastic cowl. You'll of course get more engine noise in the cabin with these. Not for everybody... I'm okay with not hearing the injectors ticking on my drives.

Yeah, the noise and the smells were a bit much for me. I love the idea of not having to remove the cowl plastics every time I wanted to work on the engine, but it's definitely a tradeoff.

Nah, the white box is still sealed up tight. If you really wanted, I guess you could also leave the superficial black plastic panel over it as well.
