Black/Red or Black/Chrome Rims?
hey everyone im actually in the market for some new rims
i have a black sapphire e92 335i with coral red interior and I've seen alot of the black 335is around with the black rims with the chrome lip and it seems almost like they're played out. I was thinking about getting these originally but then thought of matching something to my coral red interior like black rims with a red lip and go along with the red/black theme. I think both type of rims look great but im stuck on my descision on which ones to get. so i was wondering if you guys can help me out on which ones you would choose. For chrome i was thinking iForged Daytonas DPEs or Hamman Replicas something like this: And for the Black/Red theme i was thinking of getting the V710s from eAs with the red time attack rings and it would look something like this: pics were used from members on the forum

I'm getting an e92 with your exact same color combination. Personally, I wouldn't go for black rims at all. Silver is best, if you ask me, or maybe gunmetal if you want something darker.
Of course, I'm 30+, so my tastes might be a little more low-key than yours, even though I am going for the coral red. Whatever you do, put up some pics of it. I can't get enough of the sapphire/coral e92 pics |

black w/ no lip is the best looking IMO... but chrome looks better than red in ur two examples. I personally hate any chrome on my car so thats why i went straight black with my winters... probably looking at matte black cls's as new summers too

If you have the Aluminum window trim as the first picture, the chrome lip will match the color. But if you have the shadowline window trim, then id say go for black with time attacks because thats what i'm gonna do

I personally don't think there should be any chrome on our cars; just gaudy IMO. Black wheels make the wheels look smaller than they are. I would go with a dark silver or gunmetal but not black.

X2 on the chrome, i would not put chrome on a sportier car. maybe if you had a Cadillac or something. i like the black with polished lip, or all black with the red stripe.

Both look great, the red time attack is a little more youthful and dynamic. The chrome lip is more understated and time enduring.
