Locations of vacuum?
Hello world!
I just wanted to see if anyone had any vacuum diagrams for the F10 M5. I am dealing with a car that is not generating any boost, so I am going to try and replace any and all boost/vacuum junctions while I am in there. I have the diagram for the vac pump --> tank --> solenoids --> wastegates. I am just wondering if there are any other places the car uses a vac/boost reference. My car is super high mileage so I don't mind changing stuff out as I encounter issues. |

Their is a T that goes to the Tank and the driver side of the engine which runs to a solenoid in the trunk.
That solenoid then goes to the exhaust flaps. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=11_5038 #6 is a T, which runs to the driver side of engine. Get a hand held vacuum pump. It will make your search easier. Also check the check valve on the actual vacuum pump. The diaphragm could have failed. Where in florida are you? |

In Weston. I changed out the T you mentioned, all vacuum lines connecting to the tank, boost solenoids (these are new now also), and up to the shock tower union that then leads to the exhaust valves. I pressure and vacuum tested the tank, and the line from the shock tower back to the exhaust valves. All checks out. I also can run the engine and plug in my manometer into the line that goes from the tank to the shock tower union location and I get a steady 25psi-30psi of vacuum. The car still fails to build boost, and still throws no codes. Have never been so stumped before. |
