TC Kline/Koni coilovers, springs, camber plates, and sways. Also, CDV delete and ATE brake fluid. I'm hoping some of my racing tires & wheels fit the lil' bugger. My wife will love me for purchasing yet another set for this car....

Can one just remove the Clutch Delay Valve completely or does something else need to be attached in its place?

Clutch Delay Valve - if your opting for an 'automagic' it won't be relevant. Here's a linkee: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55083

Will aftermarket DV's have any real benefit with stock turbos besides the sound factor?

If you really care about the long term longevity of the engine I'd stay away from K&N style filters. OEM paper filters keep the dirt out.

They help with quicker boost recovery and they do work (at least on my VW). The stock DV has a rubber diaphragm that is slow to recover off boost whereas the Bailey (among other brands) uses an aluminum spring-compressed piston. Oh yea, and the combo with an intake is loud, definitely NOT for everybody.

After reading about the CDV issue on this post, will a Steptronic actually offer better performance? I don't really think I would want to go through a mod like CDV delete if it affects warranty. How bad is it? I have been driving E21, 5 speeds (Getrag 240 and 245) for 20 years.

I'm going to campaign the car in SCCA Solo B Stock class the first year I have it, so mods are limited:

1. Hoosier A6 race tires 225x40 front, 245x35 rear on the OE wheels.

2. H&R or Eibach front sway bar (stock class rules don't allow rear bar changes)

3. BMC panel air-filter.

Rules allow upgrading the shocks, but I don't plan on doing that the first year.
