Autoglym for the ///M Coupe
Spent 3 hours pampering the car. Used the Autoglym kit, so washed it with the shampoo, dried it with the blade, window cleaner, used rim cleaner and the the super resin polish.
Looks fantastic but due to rushing the polishing at the end there are some spots where I wiped off the polish before it dried causing little smudge marks. Will sort this out tomorrow. The Autoglym polish brings out a natural paint finish. Compared to the Meguairs Gold which brings out a wet "bling bling" finish. So personal preference on which product to use. While running the hand along the surface I can feel some sediments, thus a clay bar session is in order. So I will do that in a months time and need to decide which clay bar to use. I will be avoiding the R5000 clay from the Amazon jungle Here are a couple camera phone pics:

I always find these threads a little amusing. You tell us how well you did detailing your car, then you take a crapy cellphone pic inside in the worst possible lighting conditions. Hell my car would look good under those circumstances and it looks like crap under well lighted conditions.

Nice job!
3 hours is nothing on a detail. Next time you detail you should trying check out paints condition and claying, polishing and waxing. I clayed, polished and waxed my M and it turned out pretty good. Granted my pictures suck as well so... bring on the 'bad picture' haters. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=250602 |
