2011 535i Lease

Hello fellow members,

Just wanted to see what people have negotiated so far on the new 2011 535. Im looking to lease one but sort of dont want to go into the dealership without some good facts. Also if anyone has taken delivery what do you think about the car, I think its gorgeous but wanted to see how the drive and power are.

Thanks in Advance

I paid 2200 below sticker, I hear others are doing better. I ordered the car in early march. Got it 2 days ago. Payment is low 800's with all taxes and fees up front (zero cap cost reduction 12k miles/year).

I do not feel like the car is too slow. Power is there when you need it (on ramps, etc).I had a 2007 GS300 before my last car which was about the same dimensions and weight as the 5er and that car felt underpowered, the 5 feels right.

The drive is like butter (and I do not have Dynamic Handling). My driving style is not aggressive which suits this car quite well.

Its totally flat in the exit ramps. I imagine it will be a 180 from an M3. I came out of a Lexus IS350, and the ride is so much nicer in the 5.

I have no complaints thus far.

535i lease

Thanks beachbmmr.

Congrats on the car by the way. Glad you like it, I think it looks great and it seems like the power is enough since I sit in traffic all day anyways.

Hi guys.

phattbam - max msd is me putting down the "Maximum Multiple Security Deposits". You are allowed to put down 7 monthly payments up front that will drop the money factor... you then get the deposit back after you turn in the lease. The X3 loyalty cash is a $1500 credit BMWFS is giving X3 owners that are turning in their lease and getting into another BMW.

Kevin88gt - I'm doing european delivery on a 535 with premium pkg, rear view cam, split fold down seats, park dist control, navigation and metallic paint. ED invoice with destination is approx 49000. I paid 1k over that.

pm me if you want more details or info on the great ED CA I worked with.

Jo

Hi bernpep

I plugged in some of the numbers you listed into a lease spreadsheet/calculator I've been using and I don't know if the monthly's add up. See the attached excel doc and update with your specific details to get a more accurate estimate.

After you update, speak to the dealer and ask them to break down how they got their calculation, and then compare their info with what you list in the spreadsheet.

Side note... everyone says that it is not a good idea to put money down for a lease... as that money is lost if the car is in an accident and totalled...etc... you might be better off using that down as a security deposit so that the dealer can lower the money factor rate.

good luck.

Leases are (in my opinion) crazy high on this car right now.

A moderately-optioned 535i was $900/mo in Atlanta.

I purchased instead.
