X5 - Colours

95% of the way there to placing an order for X5 (thanks Anneka)

One thing that keeps bugging me is colour

Black - looks great - but keeping clean and scratch free?
Silver - what i have now in the 335d. Hides everything. Great for DD.
Space Grey - current favourite. But keep going back and forth among the above 2

I'm all over google images looking and looking and changing my mind!

FWIW it'll be shadowline, m sport X5 with 20" rims.

Anybody got thoughts (it's a bank holiday up here and i'm watching tour de france to avoid doing any work!) so apologies for what is very subjective question.

This place is quickly becoming an X5 forum

You can't go wrong with any of the above. I'm a huge fan of Space Grey but think, if it was me, I'd go for plain old boring Silver. I just think it suits the large amount of metal of an X5.

Apologies..but there seems to be only 2 guys from the UK who posted in the X5 section and now they've got their cars......no more!

You guys love it really - In fact Roger you could be onto something.....a whole bunch of sub sections within UK for each model

Space Grey looks great clean and not too shabby when it's dirty. It also changes colour in different shades of light.

To be honest No. I didn't go anywhere near Batmobile at Scottish Modified yesterday apart from the start her as the battery was going flat with the sound system on. I certainly didn't sit in as the masses walked past!

Don't go black - too much car to keep looking good.

Silver is good, but I reckon also quite high maintenance esp at the front with bug splats etc

Space Grey works for me.

Has to be a dark colour, big cars suit dark colours better than light in my view. Go for Black with sun protection glass

I do agree. Saw an X5 in Carbon Black and it looked great. I just couldn't keep it clean up in Scotland. (that's what i'm repeating to myself over and over and over!)
