Changing my BMW 335d

Gents,

Id like to ask for a bit of advice, my car is in for repair after being crashed into by a lorry. I will be selling it once it gets repaired. But im not sure what to go for I have a budget of about 40k and have narrowed it down to about 4/5 cars. I'm finding it a hard decission whether just go for pure speed or just class. This is the order of which I am thinking at the moment.

Options are
1. Aston Martin Vantage 56/57 Plate
2. Nissan GTR
3. Porsche (996)911 GT2, or 911 C2 s
4. Bmw M3
5. Vauxhall VXR8

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Except from number five I'd considered the first four and narrowed it down to No.4

You could get a 997 for 40k, much nicer than a 996 which has an awful interior IMO, Having said that the 997 are a bit dated pre 2009, the nav is clunky and the Bluetooth just plain pants, needing a sim card inserted in the dash.

Running cost wise I doubt there is much in it, both £435 a year tax, both early mid 20 MPG

Not to bothered about running costs, as I have another car to go to work in.

VXR8 for me, brute force. Wouldn't be worth an awful lot in a few years though but it would certainly be in my lottery garage!!!

Isn't the fact you've, from a list of 5, singled one out a hint to a decision already been made (by your heart anyway!!!)??? Just research the GTR as the upkeep of them can be pretty heavy (dont brakes, etc, cost a fortune??) I think. Amazing car though.

You driven an GTR yet?? I'd try one out. I've not personally (though probably could've done yesterday if I'd asked; and had more time).
