Best F10 2012 M5 Track Photos Yet
Reported on 5POST HOMEPAGE.
We bring you the best photos yet of the F10 M5 on the track. Spotted at the ring today performing high speed runs, the production front bumper is yet again exposed, save some camouflage tape. Some more design elements of the rear lower bumper also comes into view - particularly the area around the quad exhausts. Also apparent is the more aggressive M5 sideskirts, rear deck lid spoiler, and the beautifully concave wheel wheels, all of which are production versions. The 2012 M5 is expected to make its world public debut at the 2011 Frankfurt IAA autoshow in September 2011 (probably with a reveal a few months earlier than September) and will be powered by a tweaked version of the S63 V8 twin turbo motor from the X5M/X6M, good for what we believe will be 585-600hp. It's hard to say with all the camo, but from what i can see, this car just doesn't look mean enough... especially as compared to the current gen M5. I suppose only the future can tell what this car will end up looking like. But so far, I'm underwhelmed.

E60 M5 looked quite subdued imo. The M sport 550i looked pretty much the same as the M5. One would need a discerning eye to tell them apart. And the M5 is supposed to look stealth anyways.

I never liked the side gills and a few other details on the E60 M5 as much as I loved the previous three generations. This looks exactly like an updated E39 M5 and that's a huge complement.
