N55 Vishnu Downpipe DYNO RESULTS Before/After

Alright Guys,

Hear is the dyno results that I did over the weekend and was sure enough what I expected without any tune and mods whats so ever. I was really hoping this downpipe did not the do infamous power dip, and like it shows... NO POWER LOSS anywhere throughout the rpm range. Thats exactly what Robert@Vishnu had explained before I purchased this product, and with these results I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE...

Juiced46 brought to my attention that we need to see results from a stock car vs Vishnu DP only.

Here are the results.
PEAK DYNOS FROM STOCK AND VISHNU DOWNPIPE
STOCK VS VISHNU DOWNPIPE

Stock Dyno

Vishnu Downpipe Dyno

Check out this thread for the review of the Vishnu Downpipe.

Nice, pretty cool to see some performance out of these downpipes on a stock tune.

Yeah it made some decent power for the size of the pipe compared some other n55 downpipes currently out.

Some performance? That's a great gain for not having a tune at all. Very nice

I try to be modest, but if I were the OP, I'd be pretty happy about it.

Do you have a "competitor exchange" policy? I got a brand new, mint, never installed AR dp sitting in my garage.

I would go and find out if the AR people have a DYNO on that product such as this.. I bet it won't be too far off.

I just bought AR Catless DPs for my N54 from Mike. I am guessing, but any DP is going to help. Vishnu DP maybe better but I am sure that would generate 50,000 posts saying otherwise....

I think my point is: if you have a DP, put it on and your are winning....

I installed my Vishnu downpipe on Saturday and mated it up to my procede. Have not had time to hit the dyno but the car is simply a beast. Car pulls in every gear. It certainly is much louder too.

Not to discredit Vishnu, but I highly doubt there is that much of a difference performance wise between AR and Vishnu.

I haven't seen an independent dyno yet of the 4" dp. The thing that worries me is the 4 inches.

thanks for the dyno.
did u dyno downpipe + tune?

also look'd like power was building with the pulls u did with
the downpipe - if u continued with a 4th/5th pull.

Franki,

I think you may be right, I just did the downpipe... I was only booked for 6 pulls... So I wanted to make sure we got consistent numbers on the stock run and the dp run.

Nice comparison! This is what I was talking about Now get a tune in that thing and Im sure that TQ dip will go away. I put my stock catback back on with my AR DP and noticed a definite loss of power. I am going to be putting an aftermarket catback back on the car again and a Procede to see what kind of difference its going to make over my JB3

I did a before and after with the AR DP just like this. This is an N55 we are testing on, not an N54 FYI.

Actually there is a difference, being that the Vishnu is a 3.5" DP and the AR is a 4"
