Continental Extreme Contact DWS
Anyone have these tires on their car? How do you like them? What else should I consider for tire size 235/35/19. More info on the DWS tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....utoModel=328xi Sedan&autoModClar=Base Model
Edit post: well guys, continental dws are on back order and it will take 4-6 weeks delivery, so I have settled for these tires, check em out and let me know what you think. I cant wait 4-6 weeks because I have a bubble in my front right tire of my runflats. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Well, if you're looking for an All-Season tire, they are rated damn high for wet driving & fairly good in snow + have good wear characteristics (mileage warranty) - however I have also read that their dry handling 'crispness' is not everything it should be.
Which tends to reason, as a tire that is made to perform decently in several situations, is never gonna be best in all at the same time. Personally, I run a seperate set of aftermarket 17" Wheels with Blizzak WS70's all the way around in the winter - so that I have the best for winter ice/snow driving. I just picked up a staggered set of the MiRo 942's (BMW Perfomance reps) in 18" with the Continental ExtremeContact DW tires in 225/40R18 front/255/35R18 rear. It is fair to mention that any non-RFT tire is not gonna handle like a RFT tire due to their softer/more flexible sidewalls. That can be remedied to some extent by running up to 3psi more per tire over recommended psi to help stiffen without any problems... Since I have dedicated snow tires, I wanted the best for dry handling & wet driving in a High Performance Summer tire - there wasn't one bad review for the DW's, and all the testing done on them shows they excel in the handlng/wet driving areas + their wear was fairly good (much better than the cheaper Hankooks) They were a mid level tire as far as expense goes. A little more than the DWS at $818 for the staggered set...

I am very happy with the snow, wet and dry traction of my DWS. I don't take my car to the track, just back road weekend cruising and they are more than adequate for this purpose. Very happy with the overall performance of this all season tire.

I'm trying to make this decision as well, comparing it to the Yoko Envigor...about ~$100 less than the Conti's. Think I'm leaning towards the Conti's, but I'm not tracking the car, so the difference might be minimal

I'm looking for tires that I can drive on all year long. I have the stock bridgestone runflats right now, and I want out of them, plus I have another set of rims I need to put on. So these tires will be all year long for me, so I need good all-season tires. These showed good reviews thats why I posted about them here to hear your guys reviews

I have them on my 330i. Love 'em. The sidewall are a bit softer than dedicated summer tires. However, with a softer sidewall, you get decreased road noise and better ride. Don't think they don't still feel sporty...they do. They are probably the BEST AS tire for snow. Not as good as dedicated snows but far better than any AS tire I have driven to date. I am glad I bought them.

The DWS is a very good tire and an excellent value. The only downside is a slightly mushier feeling while cornering, although the grip is fine. It tightens up with about 2~3 psi over stock.

Continental DWS tires are awesome! I've been running them for the past 2000 miles in one of the worst Nebraska winters. They are quieter than stock, provide a better ride, and they do a fine job of soaking up the high frequency bumps and expansion joints. Best of all, they can handle 6 inches of snow with ease. Buy these tires!

I Have them on my 330i. Compared to the horrible Potenza RFTs, the DWSs are far superior for the all season everyday driver... I have yet to try them on the track, CANNOT WAIT!!!

I just got the DWS last weekend. they were installed at 35 psi all around. No more tramlining, no more loud booms when hitting small potholes and much quieter over all kinds of road imperfections. I take a few turns in my commute somewhat aggressively and could not really feel much difference in handling. I guess the only down side is it doesn't look as cool as the OEM run flats!

I just got these tires in stock size (205/55ZR16), and although they ride amazing compared to the stock RFT, they are losing pressure rather quickly. In a week I lost 3-5lbs in the fronts and up to 10psi in the rears. I've read these tires need to be high pressure mounted to seal correctly...any comments on this issue? Should I have my installer redo the work?

Does anyone have a picture of the DWS on an e92 *with stock rims* I was thinking about getting these tires as well. But don't know how they will look. Thanks.

I took off the RFT and replaced them with DWS tires. I also used a 225/45-18 front and a 255/40-18 rear. This filled the wheel well better and greatly improved the ride and quietness. Also many squeaks and rattles went away due to less pounding over bumps.

I installed the DWS 19" 235/35 f 265/30 r and I'm enjoying every minute of my commute now! As stated above no more tram lining smoother bump and expansion joint absorption. Aggressive cornering is a bit mushy but acceptable for an all season tire. Great tire for the money and purpose if you're not tracking your car. Buy these Mofos ASAP price goes up as winter approaches!!!
