Painting vs. Powdercoating

Hey guys im looking to get a set of wheels either painted or powdercoated a high gloss black and was wondering what your choice would be when it comes to the two

Powdercoat for sure. Paint and powdercoat.......that's two different levels.

Powder coat is what they would do to a factory wheel so I would do that. As I did...

Painting a wheel (done properly) will cost you a lot more than powdercoating and it is not as durable. To properly paint a wheel, one would need to sand, primer, sand, then paint. Its a lot of time in labor to do this. It will also chip easily once its on the road and being subjected to all the elements and debris. Powdercoated wheels will be able to handle all the debris since the powder bonds to the metal once baked on. Its also cheaper.
