Rotate Tires ?

Hi new to this forum. Just bought my 335i new tires. Bought Michelin pilot sport a/s plus. The guy at discount tire said I should rotate them every 6k. With BMWs being balanced 50/50, in terms of weight distribution, is it really necessary to rotate them?

It's cause of the wheel alignment. That way the uneven wear is spread out. Not to mention front wheels brake and turn while back wheels accelerate.

If you're staggered, then you don't rotate. Even if you have a square setup, I wouldn't rotate.

If you have a square wheel/tire setup, then I would take advantage of rotating the tires. If you have a staggered setup then unfortunately you will not be able to.

Pilot Sport A/S Plus is a directional tire. If you are staggered, the only way to swap them even side to side is to dismount and remount the tires. If you are square, you can swap them with the front and rear on the same side of the car.
