Best Tire out of These?

Now I know a lot of you people will hate on these tires, but I'd just like to know which tire would you raate the highest out of these taking into consideration, grip, cost, treadwear.

Nankang NS-II
Federal ss-595
Achilles Sport
Triangle Talon

They are all within about $100 of eachother and they seem to be in the same tier in terms of grip so I was thinking of maybe just going with the best treadwear? Unless there is one that slightly stands out in terms of its performance.

Depending on your size, TireRack has those Hankook V12's on sale. They are pretty cheap and pretty good tires. Maybe you should just spend that little bit extra for something that is a worlds different.

I just did this same research for myself!
I got some inside advise from a tire dealer nearby and they told me... The Achilles ATR Sport tire is by far the best bang for your buck. He said people are afraid to run them because they are cheap, he said they are a better tire then most 2 and 300 dollar tires out there.

I decided to give them a run, they are the most quiet tire I have ran in a long time (thus far - 100 miles at best so far), take bumps VERY well, and they have a 400 tread wear so I am excited to see how many miles I get out of them.

I figured what the hell, lets give them a shot.... so far, they are great!

hope this helps.

I have the Federals on my 97 eclipse GS-T and they are pretty good tires actually. They run a little wide compared to some other brands but the grip is not bad and they seem to be wearing evenly. My eclipse probably has somewhere around 350 HP and the SS-595 grips much much better than the general exclaims I had on there before.

I saw a review with Continental 5p and the Federal 595 and the Conti was much better in the wet.

But the most interesting fact was the weight of the tires, the Federals was 4-5lbs heavier the the Contiental tire!!

Thank you, this is exactly the kind of review I was looking for

Awesome! It's between federal and achilles I guess then

Can't source these in Canada.

As to everyone who's saying spend more to g et a better tire..... $1181 for the hankooks mounted and balanced.... $585 for the Achilles.... I could go through two sets of achilles for the price and with the longer treadwear it just seems like a no brainer unless the hanooks are light years ahead in quality

my reason for buying them is price...I live in socal so weather isn't really a factor for the most part and I drive conservatively, again for the most part. I think they're good enough for the daily grind. No complaints here so far.

How is the grip on them under WOT?

tires are very important, don't cheap out esp with your 335i. More power needs more grip. Check out falken 451 or toyo t1r.
