TPMS

Hey guys I have some questions.

1. Do I need TPMS if I buy aftermarket wheels? I have a 2011 335I

2. If I don't get the TPMS what will happen, will I get a light or something?

Thank you.

Edit: nevermind I just found the answer.

1) if you get new wheels you dont have to have TPMS, but...
2) if you don't have TPMS, you will get a tmps warning on the dash and/or idrive screen. The warning on the idrive covers the whole screen which you cannot get rid of (from what I've read)

This part is not the case for me as I have aftermarket wheels and no TPMS. I see a steady orange exclamation point on the gauge cluster. At first it's very annoying, but I got used to it. I still plan to get a set of used TPMS though.
