Today I actually had time and took it down to the BMW dealer to swap out my summer tires, they did a great job and no scratches on the wheels.
It was only $100 for everything, cheaper than Bob Sumerall that wanted $160 |

fyi, if you're a Costco member they'll usually swap out your summer/winter tires for $20 total. I put my winters on 2 weeks ago, but I have a spare set of wheels so I can swap them out myself.

Plus when you diy you know exactly what condition everything's in. Would Costco know/care to put anti-seize on the hubs? I am a Costco member but would never get tires from them....

any concerns with warmer weather? it's suppose to be almost 60 here in Ohio. i guess it's better to have them on early than to need them later when snow hits and you're fubared.
i'm still getting use to the drop in steering dynamics - it's a weird squishy feelings when turning. Last edited by NoMods; 12-12-2011 at 08:15 PM.. |

Got my Pirelli winter tires installed last week.
Great tires, can't even tell the difference to my summer tires. Last edited by JS82; 12-13-2011 at 01:47 PM.. |

Have had winter tires on for almost a month (in Finland). Only had ones with studs before and the snow still hasn't arrived.. which is fairly strange... Fortunately, I changed my car and the new one had studless winter tires.. Now driving is more quiet Size is 225/45/17.
Now i'm just on hold for snow and the sideways action to start |
