Winter Tires on, Summer Wheel & Tire Combo Decisions!
Hey guys,
Just mounted my Blizzak LM-60s this morning and now it's time to start thinking about what to do for my summer set up. My stock front RFT's (225/40R18) are in great shape but I'll have to replace the rears regardless. I have a jet black e92 w/ aluminum window trim and chrome grills still. It is also on stock sport suspension w/ no plans of lowering except lowering perches. I have narrowed it down to three disctinct options for my summer wheel & tire combo: 1) OEM 219m graphite -18x8.5f et 29 & 18x9.5r et 23 -With this set-up I would keep the stock tires sizes and just get new rears (still RFT's) Would I have to roll the fenders even at stock sport height? 2) Forgestar f14 silver - 18x??f et 3X & 18x10r et 3X -I want a 10" wide rear wheel lol. So I was wondering to keep the stock front tires, should I go 8.5" or 9" wide fronts? If I go 8.5" is 8.5f/10r too much stagger? It's a DD with no track time just spirited backroad driving occasionally. Would 225/255 still be doable? I don't mind a little stretch but there is no 265 in RFT so it jumps to 275. I'd prefer to keep RFT's with the 18's. Plus, what offsets would be ideal for both 8.5f/10r and 9f/10r? I was thinking et35f, et 33(5)r. I may decide to go 275 in the rear if that's a factor. 3) Avant Garde M359 silver - 19x9f et 35 & 19x10r et 38 - It might be cheaper to just sell my stock front RFT's and start from scratch with this set-up. Pretty standard set-up here 235f/275r probably falken 452's. Hesitant w/ 19's in Philly/SJ area tho. I'm still new to the wheel game so I'm going with what I've picked up so far; any guidance/reccomendations would be pretty titties. Thanks guys, Jon

Thanks for the response guys! However, the 313 style is not exactly direction I am looking to go at this time.

All in all, you have to decide if you want an 18" or 19" setup. A 18" wheel will be lighter and will be better for performance. 19" wheels will of course look best. The Avant Garde lineup of wheels as low pressure cast and do utilize the same manufacturing process as OEM wheels. Forgestar wheels are rotary forged and are the next step up and are much lighter and stronger!!
