Question Wheel spacers with stock wheels and tires?

I have a pre-LCI 2006 325i with stock wheels and tires. I am wanting to add spacers to give the car a bit more aggressive look. What spacers size is recommended on a stock setup?

The only way to really determine the right spacer size for your needs is to measure the gap between your fenders and the tire.

Be sure to get extended bolts with the spacers if they're larger than 3mm-5mm.

Most of my customers have gone with 12mm and had no problems.

Does the 335 and 325 have the same tires front and rear or they staggered? I have the same size tire in both the front and rear. I was thinking about doing 15 mm rear and 12 mm front.

Keep in mind I have a pre-lci 2006 325i. That is why I am looking at 12/15.

I think mine is pre lci as well since its 07 335i? 12 in the front would look slick but only doing 15 in the rear would have the fronts still wider then the rears it wouldnt look right. Do 18 in the rear if your doing 12 in the front. TRUST ME SIR. I just barely posted before and after pics of my setup. Check it out.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=634163 You can still see there is room for me to so the rear spacers from 15 to 18. I will probably switch it soon.

I don't want my wheels sticking out at all. I don't want to have the wheels throwing debris on the car. If I went with 18mm I think the tires would stick out just a bit beyond the wheel well. I would think 10 front and 15 rear would work.

I PROMISE you that an extra 3mm on top of what i have in my pics will not be even close to having them stick out past the wells. The 18mm will make it so its as flush as the front tires/wells.

Right now, the rear wheels are sunken in about 3-5mm more then the front which is so dumb looking. It should either be flush all around or the rear should be wider. Find some pics with peeps with stock wheels dropped with 18mm spacers and you will agree that you want them as i do . Hope im helping you with your decisions.

Are there any ill effects on wheel hub/bearings by using spacers?

I use 2.5" wheel spacers on my D'max and tow some pretty DAMN heavy loads, so if they have never given me a prob, i see no reason why a tiny 18mm spacer with the CORRECT lug length would be any issue at all. I plan on switching these spacers very soon. Some run 15mm on front and 20 on rear. Now that might be pushing it a little bit with rubbing You decide what springs your going for yet?

I am going to be on stock springs, wheels and tires. I don't want to lower the car in fear of tearing up the bottom in the Winter time.

I installed some BSM spacers,18mm rear and 12mm front? I contacted RAD about some extended wheel locks for a staggered set up. Unfortunately they don't do staggered set ups. They stated I would need to buy two different sets.

Is there anyway around this? How have others done it with staggered set up?

I just post a quick update that I have been running my BMS spacers since my last post without issue. The only thing I had to do was grind down some of the bolts because they were a tad long. I have had zero issues since.

Same here, I made sure to sand down the contact points between the hub and the rim to make sure they're both smooth. I have had zero issues & zero vibrations with them on.

Now if I can only find a complete set of locks for a staggered set up without having to by two different sets

I have 18mm rear and 12mm front and the front has too much poke in relation to the rear. Should have went with 20mm rear, will likely switch when I lower her. Only use hub centric
