Didn't Realise I did not have Run Flats(!)

Unfortunately I got a puncture 2 days ago. Nail in the rear tyre :-( Thinking I had run flats I drove it home from the supermarket - about 1 mile. Not driven it since.

Bought my 2007 e92 320d M sport from a BMW dealer in the UK 3 years ago, it was one year old at the time with very low mileage (6k).

Anyway it is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s on 19 inch wheels, which are not run flat. There is no repair kit anywhere to be seen.

Does anyone know if BMW sold a batch of these without run flats? Or is the dealer likely to have changed the tyres and not told me before selling it to me?

I'm now worried about what happens if I get a puncture a long way from home. Any suggestions for repair kits or space saver wheels?

Doubt it was sold new with those tyres.

There should be a star symbol on the tire. If the star is there, it's BMW OE spec. If there's no star, it's not a BMW OE tire.

BMW OE spec doesnt equal runflat.

Never said that.

Star = BMW OE spec.

My M3 had BMW OE spec tires (Original Sport Contacts) with a star. It was not a runflat.

My 1st Gen X5 had the BMW OE spec Energy MXV4's with the star. It was not a runflat.

OE / OE Spec Marking:

BMW / Star
Audi / AO
MB / MO
GM / TPC
etc....
