when will dealers get more inventory?
seems like most dealers have one 228 and one 235, which are probably getting abused on test drives. Does anyone have a feeling on when the next wave(s) of cars are coming?
my plan is to buy/lease an M235 in April and spend the coming weeks test driving and deciding between Alpine White and Estoril Blue ... red being a longshot. (who am i kidding, i'm going blue) i would def like to see more cars, colors, interiors, trim, and options in the flesh... |

I know the launch date is March 8th so I would expect/speculate more inventory by the end of the month. If mine shows up this week I'm probably going to have my dealer hold it. The Midwest weather has been pretty brutal and I don't want to deal with Winter tires for a few weeks since I got the Summers. |

A lot of dealers have already pre-sold the ones that are arriving in the coming weeks (especially since they are getting so few allocations to start out with) or are asking sticker price for the one they have available so April may be a little too soon to pick one up off a dealer lot. Maybe May/June you should be able to do so and possibly have some negotiating room. Last edited by five3three; 03-02-2014 at 11:16 PM.. |

they had one assembly run...the they stopped it until March 10..thats the next run
so I think will see the pre ordered in May...then in summer one can negotiate...expect the dealers to stick close to MSRP if you walk in the door right now unless you have a connection or read up on some of the recommendations that Board Members have posted |

Followed up with my dealer today. They are a decently large volume dealer and said nothing but ordered/spoken for/paid for cars are coming until late April. Then they expect quite a bit of volume actually. Guess that means not much selection or deals until May or June....

Auto Trader shows 174 available at dealers that use Auto Trader. 2 of those are MT, one of which is a nicely equipped Gray one in Chicago with HK stereo, Premium Package, etc. (I am not affiliated with any dealer)

Congrats. Not surprised that it was a customer order, since it's a MT.

Good thing you're not taking the automatic grey one downtown, I may or may not have had that one north of 100mph on Lakeshore already!

Hendrick got one 228 and one 235. Both sold immediately. I just ordered a 228 manual.
