BIMMERPOST NEWS Paris 2012: BMW M5, M6 and its S63Tu Engine The BMW M display at this year's 2012 Paris auto show featured the latest M models to be released - the F10 M5 and F12 M6 coupe. What you see is the 2013 M6 in Sakhir Orange Metallic, its launch color. The 2013 M5 wears Frozen Grey Metallic, a BMW Individual color which looked excellent under the show lights. Also on display was the M5/M6's monster 560hp V8 twin turbo S63Tu engine. Most of you have read about the M5, M6 and S63Tu specs repeated times already, but for reference or as a refresher, see the official info threads linked below. Wow I did not expect the frozen grey to look that good. It matches the M5 perfectly.

What's the point of the bicycles? Do they have 560 horsepower too?

I'm guessing the bike is just to show off their abilities with carbon fibre? Otherwise, pretty unimpressive for something branded as an ///M. To wit:
-- Wimpy looking bottom bracket and chainstays -- 16.3 lbs (7.4 kg) Seriously? My bike weighs this much with my heavy wheelset and a saddle bag -- Ultegra mechanical groupset?!? Puh-leez. An ///M deserves SRAM Red, Dura Ace, or Campy Record -- An ///M badge that must add at least 25 grams And the nail in the coffin... leaving the bike in the lowest gear! Bikes must ALWAYS be in the highest gear for photographing! |

In my view anyone who is affected by the oil pump recall and driving ban has to either scratch their head and say huh, when they see a thread like this or think/wish as some already have voiced, "if that oil pump works(?) can I have it sent to my dealer now".
