I'll attach the side signal picture, everyone has seen gloss black front grills so I won't bore you again with those. Almost everyone on this site seems to prefer the 20" optional rim, but I happen to like the stock 19". They're probably heavier and not as strong if they are cast and not forged, but I like the look.
Very unique! Thanks again

Hi Nate,
I am a HUGE fan of IND and have purchased every mod from you guys (except my springs). Not be a downer on this thread but my MCB reflector inserts dont match the paint very well. I know it is virtually impossible to do off the vehicle but has anyone else noticed this? Is it just on MCB? Still much better than the reflectors but does bug me a bit.....

Hey Barry we have not had any problems with MCB and offer a paint match guarantee from iND. Shoot an email to support@ind-distribution.com and they will get a new set out with a return label

Must be hard work to truly paint match. The MCB M5 at the LA auto show had badly mismatched body panels...not the plastic bumper either...the hood and quarter panels were way off!

That was exactly how my MCB X5M was, front clip (hood, quarter panels & bumper) was bad mach not even close. In low light front had an almost greenish blue tint.

There is two paint codes for MCB so you have to make sure that you pick the correct one. We have painted full trunks and bumpers for the E9x M3 without issues.

Crazy. Did BMW repaint for you?

(Sorry for thread jack, but am curious)

Has anybody encounter problems regarding replaced yellow reflectors with body colored ones? Since I bought the car out of state, the car registration process involved NYS car inspection. I had it inspected at a garage and asked the guys there if they could put in the body colored reflector that I bought from IND. They told me that they can do that but next year when I come in for the inspection, the car may fail as it will not have the U.S. mandated yellow/orange reflectors. Has anybody gotten into this situation or no one has yet encountered this situation as their M5's have already been inspected prior to reflector replacement?

Never had this issue but down here you don't need to inspect cars under 3 years old, so I've never had an inspection on any of my cars.

We sold thousdands of the E9x M3 pre painted reflectors and never had a customer contact us regarding inspection issues. I also talked with a few local police and they didn't even know why DOT still requires the front reflectors on some models. For example, the pre E90 non-M sedan never came with front reflectors on the bumper cover for all NA models.

It depends on how picky your dealer/inspection station is.
In theory they could fail your car for no reflectors, front license plate etc
Most shops will still pass you under the assumption that everything was in
order when you dropped off the car (ie plate mounted, reflectors installed etc)
Never had a problem myself either.

NY State requires all NYS registered cars to pass an emissions test and safety inspection annually which gets reported to the NYS DMV. Anyway, in case I get questioned next year, I think the solution is to temporarily stick-on yellow/orange reflectors adjacent to the replacement body-color reflectors. I went to Autozone today, specifically looking for the availability of any yellow/orange reflectors. So, I will just stick those nasty reflectors before the inspection and soon as I the inspection sticker is placed removed them.

On that car the reflectors were built into the headlamp cluster as they are on Lexus cars. I prefer BMWs current approach because at least they can be replaced with painted ones. With the Lexus approach you need to change the headlamps.

Pm sent over

For Silverstone you can run gloss black side grilles or body colored. Both options will look nice on that color.
