If your going Porsche 911 Turbo, it has to be a 991. The 997 looks old and dated IMO. There is nothing exciting about that car, the new 991 is beautiful both inside and out!

I have not owned 997 yet but I had some seat times in the 997 turbo and I agree with you. It's a fun car, but not more than M6 ... However, I believe 991 GT3 is the one

I'm currently stationing in Honolulu now. I saw a Porsche 918 at the dealership when I went downtown last week, I think they are asking for $1.6 mil. Such a beautiful car.
On the other notes, they also have this "sigh" for 140K: http://www.porscheofhawaii.com/new/P...723705e77d.htm

Ugh, I agree... And I wish. Although the new Cayman GT4 has my attention.

997.2 TTS
If you want an incredibly fast car for around $100K, the TTS is a great deal. I had a 2012 997.2 TTS. It was a missile. 60-100 MPH pull are where it is at, but also a quick way to get arrested. Some basic tunes give this car batsh*t 1/4 miles. If you were spending $160K, then 12C with a tune is the next level monster.
I sold my TTS after 8 months, bought it for $115K and got $110K, but I put on around 4000 miles. It is not really a "fun" to drive car. It is a "fast as hell" to drive car. The 991 TTS is another creature. Used ones can be had for $160K. It is like a lighter GTR, machine like and super fast. |
