Carbon engine cover?

I understand the gloss afe carbon engine cover isnt made anymore only matt

Does anyone know if long term its ok? Reason being i saw a 2nd hand one on ebay and it had slight cracks and yellow also
Just not as bad as gloss version

AFE only offers the matte now. The one you're referring to on eBay looks like the glossy version, and after seeing that, I know why they discontinued them. Looks terrible after it yellowed.

I have the gloss version - looks mint. No yellowing and super clean gloss look.

Couldn’t get myself to mix matte carbon with the other gloss parts under the hood.

How long have u had it on? And what is your normal ambient temps where u live?

I’ve had it for about six months, but I bought it from a member in here. Unsure how long he had it on.

I live in Phoenix - so it’s hot. It’s definitely the engine temps that would cause yellowing of the resin though. I just haven’t had an issue with it.

I have a friend that has the AFE version. He had a shop paint a clear coat on it and the thing looks good. I recommend you do that.

Mine was clear coated and turned green over time. Definitely time to redo or upgrade
