saw this gem of a vehicle this weekend at my mom's house.

it was about 7:45 or so and i was shooting with the 70-200 VRII HANDHELD at 1/60 !!!!

sun had already set with a nice orange glow.

BAM !!!!!!! i'm so freaking good

Not that I see. I just looked at it at 200% in PS and didn't see any. Where do you see fringing?

Nice shot, Dave. Did you do any PP noise reduction or is the 7D that good with high ISO settings?

No, no extra NR at all. I DID shoot at +2EV to avoid underexposing the bird. The clouds were really brightly reflecting on the water and the sun was behind the bird. Also, because it's hand held, I need a fast SS. Hence the high ISO.

Anyway, the key is not to underexpose at high ISO. That applies to the 7D and even my 5D MkII. I DO use ISO 1600 as my general upper limit with the 7D. With the 5D2 I occasionally go up to ISO 6400. Also, I was helped by the light BG.
