Has anyone installed the Competition Package Software into a regular M5 or M6?

I was just wondering if anyone had the computer software on their regular BMW M5 or M6 replaced with the OEM BMW software for the Competition Package. If so, did the horsepower and torque go up in their car? Any other benefits?

Not completely sure where the upgrade would be provided, but that said I have just remapped my ECUs and that might be the possible route to pursue. I sold my 13 M5 because I couldn't find a solution to this same issue.

Why? If you want more power, go with a Burger Tune. It's all hardware, no flashing of the OE ECU. Beets CP for power, easy to install (and uninstall) and they have a great reputation. Do some forum research. There's a lot of info out there. JMO.

CP has different Hardware...

I didn't realize the steering changes were that significan. Wish I would have known... I may have opted for it after all. Oh well.

Many have installed the so called "press tune" in their M5's

AFAIK this yields similar hp levels to the CP (or perhaps even the 30 Jahre).
