We're not sure why we're compelled to report the first crashes for each new BMW model, but perhaps it's to serve as a warning to all our members to always drive with caution, and/or maybe its just a bit of a rubber-necker syndrome.

The first reported F10 M5 crash has unfortunately just occurred today. This M5 is on its way to the BMW dealer at The Hague (BMW Den Haag) for assessment and repairs.

Upon first glance, it appears that only the front end and bumper were damaged, but upon further inspection it seems that there's also a gash. Hopefully these are mostly cosmetic damages and the car will be back on the road soon.

Actually its not a dealer, its the importer BMW The Netherlands. It crashed during a demo, one sided accident, the customer lost control.
I was supposed to drive that car for a test, thank god they had another car for testing. 1 for the dealers wich crashed and 1 for the press.

hope the driver was ok.

Sad to see such a beautiful car in that condition. Doesn't look totaled so that's good.

Poor car, hope the driver is okay! Remember guys, its not always the drivers fault. There are other drivers out there and also conditions can cause true accidents.

Stay safe out there!

Good question. My previous dealer in St Louis put in place a policy that their salesmen had to pull a tester car off the dealership onto a side street before a customer could get behind the wheel. This was after a female customer wrecked three new cars in their parking lot (two parked, one she was driving) while trying to pull out for a test drive.

"Female Driver" enough said... I kid I kid, that sucks dude I would be so pissed I was the dealer but then again eff the dealers. I would imagine I am the driver and I wreck the test car so its on me and my insurance, if not I am going to my BMW dealership to wreck a few cars.
