My 5 days Euro Delivery Experience and the visit to the M Studio. Lots of Pics! - M5POST

Here are some pictures of my ED trip from 9/1 to 9/5. My newborn son is too young to travel for this trip. I was forced to do this trip by myself and left wife and son at home. It has turned out to be a nice get away from the busy work and family life ☺ . This is my first time going to Europe, and I was blown away by the culture, view, and the people over here in Munich. The German roads are indeed really smooth, and people really drive fast on the autobahn. I was passing by Passat, Golf, and even Hyundai with speed over 130 mph. Driving the M5 over there was a wonderful experience. The sound from the exhaust and gear changing was intoxicating. To me, the sound of this beast is perfect, and I don’t think I will need to get any after market exhaust. Gear changing was so crispy and fast in both manual and auto modes. The throttle response was unbelievable. I was amazed by the aggressiveness of the look of the car regardless how many thousands of pictures that I have seen prior. People on the street turned their heads to the M5. I wish I could stay few more days to enjoy the car more and to explore the city and the county more. I felt refreshing after this wonderful trip. Now, I am counting the calendar to wait for the arrival of my beast. Enjoy the pics guys.

*Day 1
Arrived to Munich, I went to the Marienplatz and BMW Welt for a preview of the place.

Saw couple late afternoon deliveries perhaps from the other forum memebrs

Went to the BMW Museum.

*Day 2
#@*#*@&*#. I slept over..woke up in 5PM and went back to Marienplatz for dinner and shopping.

*Day 3, the delivery

This guy pulled me over for nothing. He kept asking me if I am the owner of this car. I asked him “do you think I steal the car?” He answered, “yes!” LOL

Back to the hotel.

*Day 4, the M5 launch event at the M studio!

I left the event early to visit Porsche and Mercedes museums

Arrived Porsche, time to eat. The menu is very creative

Now to Mercedes.

On the way back, I visited the Munich BMW dealership

Back to hotel and prepared for the flight next day noon time

Dropping the off the car at the airport drop off location

430 miles in 2 days, not bad

Good Bye Munich. I will come again next time!

Next time, will be wife’s turn for doing the European Delivery. I don’t think I won’t sell my beast for …. A long time. This car is indeed of the best sport sedan in the world now. Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures.

Nice, clear, pics. Wish I had the patience to take more high quality photos like these while on the trip. Any chance you could send me a few high res pics that show the MC blue M5 (my car!) in front of the M works studio? (It was one of the few with the 19 in wheels) Thanks!

Great pics-- especially of the handsome fellow driving the MCB out of the Welt. Just by the look on his face, I can tell he had just asked the nice BMW delivery dude to please program the nav to go directly to the Nurburgring....

Thanks. Glad you like the pics. I used Sony NEX-7 and the case lens. It is compact and easy to carry for trip like this.

What did you think of the Porsche Museum? We were there on Thursday, and after visiting the BMW Museum, we were not impressed. They had some very significant cars, but the whole display was much colder and less interactive than the BMW. Which of the three museums did you like best?

Now the long wait for our cars to return stateside.
