Talking PP-Performance 800bhp limiter removed (pic)

Well tonight I had the chance to go WOT. The road was not long enough to go beyond sixth gear, but I still managed an impressive speed to prove that the limiter has been taken off. Car produces a bit over 800bhp at the crank. I will need to go onto the Autobahn in Germany again to reach the actual top speed.
But this was so quickly reached, very impressive. Well done PP-Performance.

When I go to Germany I will surely do so. Let's see how far the digital speedo can count

That is impressive already! With just a straight gearing/speed calculation you're just below 200mph at 6,500 rpm in sixth gear! Your speedo is showing 330 kph which would be 205 mph, not allowing for the typical error %. Watch out Autobahn!! Congratulations! Are you running stock tire diameter?

How are you figuring 800 crank hp? Does your car make over 700 wheel hp? If so wow what did you do????

I'm just not sure we couldn't do that here with enough space I'm not sure when the car would start self correcting to 155... Because I've seen a certain M5 well over that 155 lol

We couldn't even come close our cars have a 4% speedometer error so you could see 160's . I've confirmed this by GPS when I've done 60-130 testing . The limiter is exactly at 155mph GPS true speed for US cars . If you're going downhill you could get a couple more mph but he is showing over 190 mph even taking into consideration speedo error so the limiter is def gone .

Wow! Yours may the very first delimited M5. Congrats - can't wait to see what the actual drag/rev limited top speed is. Which would it be in these cars - probably drag I suppose.

Ho-le-fuk!!!! that's impressive. I hope you didn't take the picture yourself when driving... does she feel just as stable at +200mph as she does at 150mph+? that's a big lump of not particularly aerodynamic metal pushing through the air at 203 mph...

I mean I've been in the car when it hit 175 on the speedo but stopped... Have pictures 165+

So when would it start going down?

Just to clarify, I'm not saying he's not going that fast or that we're actually going over 155... I'm saying a ss of the dash doesn't really do much for me given I'm not sure when it'll start autocorrecting since I've seen 170s+

The speedo on our cars should at some point self correct its back to 155...

So if I mash on it it'll go 160+ but if I were to maintain those speeds eventually the speedo/hud would realize I've always been going 155 and start to bring itself down. Or at least thats how someone explained it to me.

And some of the European cars with the 305km/h extended limter hit the limiter before 300km/h. Look at this recent Autobild test that included the Manhart MH6, It actually hit the limiter at 298.8km/h:

So if I'm guessing right. This means that PP-Performance has cracked the encryption right? I mean isn't the speed limiter underneath the ECU's encryption??

I honestly never heard of this and I don't understand the logic. In my car the M drivers pack was limited to 314kmh speedo or true 305 km/h. I had the car reporgrammed by BMW back to the 155mph limiter. Then PP-Performance removed it. I have not been able to take the car over the limit by a single mile. On my car for sure the limiters are gone.
