Problem Resolved
Okay, so the problem has been resolved. I am posting it in case someone else may have this problem in the future. Since the issue was coming from the driver's side, the problem was isolated to the left control arm and thrust rod. These were replaced, a wheel alignment performed, and no more weird and annoying popping noises. The cars feels just like it should.
