do the m5s have the same engines as in the 550s??
I'm just curious to know if they do, n where the only difference is that the the m5s are merely tuned differently. Thanks

Different exhaust manifold, twin scroll turbos, not single scroll turbos like the N63, camshafts designed for higher lift, bigger oil coolers and intercoolers, higher compression ratio leads me to believe that the pistons may be stronger.

I could be wrong but I believe the N63 in 550i and S63tu in M5 may not share much more than the engine block and displacement of 4.4l -- interesting question though...
