D1 or D2

My car sometimes starts in D1 but other times D2 regardless of the the efficiency/sport/sport plus setting. How can I ensure it always accelerates from rest in D1?

Edit: Worked it how to program the M1 button - problem solved.

Mine sometimes starts in D - gear - 2 as well. Other times D - gear -1. I think if you change the drivelogic from setting from D1 to D2 then it always starts in D - gear - 1.

It's nice but I don't like it nearly as much as my new E63 wagon. The cabin sound is the big disappointment. I've driven better sounding diesels.

You are a great resource if you own both.

How do you like the seats in each? I loved the E63 but felt the seats were just too firm. The BMW seats were amazing.

Can you give some comparisons on ride comfort and fun? I thought the new E63 AMG was more fun than the Panamera, how is it compared to the M5?

I really need to give both cars more time to be fair. I've had the M5 for 3 days and the E63 for 3 weeks. I'm working hard to run them both in.

The M5 seats are more comfortable for sure. It also ride better I think. Fun? I'm not sure yet.
