Tire and Wheel Warranty
Another poster brought this up. I did it for my X5 with 21" wheels, but curious who is going to be doing it on the M5's?

Not. me. At $1,900 it's not worth it. Never lost a tire/rim on either of my E60s (***knock wood***). Also, I confirmed with my insurance company that tire & wheel replacement due to road hazards (such as potholes) are covered under my collision insurance.

I'm in the same boat, my sales guy recommended it heavily. But of the last 5 cars I've owned, all with 19" wheels or better, I've lost one tire. Not worth it IMO.

I paid about $1800 for the peace of mind. I've had bent wheels before on a previous vehicle with 19's. With the 20's I figured I better not risk it.

Bought it on the soon to Be picked up M5 and on the 650iC that I Have my GF drive. Guaranteed to bend a wheel at some point over the next 3 years. And when it happens I wont rage like usual at the DOT and the jerk offs that don't keep up the Atl roadways as they should, my $.02.

To me it's not worth it because it only occurs when you would run over a nail or another minor incident, not when you would turn it in. So the chances are very slim, if you get the wear and tear (which is cheaper) they cover your tires/ Curb rash. And a lot of other things, i mean your gonna have to change the tires anyway, so in less your hitting curbs and actually denting your wheels then it's for you. Ill just replace the tires on my own.
