Clear bra.....?
Trying to get a handle on how much it costs to get this done on the M5 F10 ( bumper, mirror backs, etc. - the full package)?
Stealer has thrown this in as part of a potential deal....... I would have gotten it done by a third party anyway but I'm curious what others are paying. Costs of either dealer or 3rd party installs would be helpful. Thanks in advance! |

I just did mine. Use Xpel, front bumper, fenders, mirrors, door cups, headlights, 24" hood ( not full hood). Total $909 include tax
If you use 3m, it may cheaper. My other local installer quoted me $599 for 3m. |

Depends on how much of the hood you cover. I did full hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors for a lil over $2K. Doing less of the hood really drops the price. Totally worth it IMO.

I am doing full hood, fenders, bumper, mirror and sideskirts for $1300 by Atlanta's best installer using Suntek PPF C film.
The Suntek PPF C film is very similar in concept to the Xpel Ultimate, but it has superior clarity.

Thanks everyone. I was told it was around 12 to 1300 dollars and they would throw it in any deal I make with them. I'll check what the material is to compare. I also know they do about 20 to 25% of the hood. I was watching them install one on a Sapphire Black M5. Maybe I should push for the whole hood? We'll see

I don't like partial hood because the seam line looks like a scratch at first glance. Also the best product is self-healing. There are three products which have this: Avery Nano, Xpel Ultimate, and Suntek PPF C. Since film is plastic, a non healing film like 3M or Ventureshield is going to be prone to micro-scratches.

I've got front bar, full hood and guards, lights, mirrors, full side sills, front edge of roof, A pillars, leading and trailing edge of rear guards and strip on rear bumper to avoid luggage scrapes. Also inside door handles - to prevent ring scratches. All this came as pre-cut which my installer cut with his plotter.

Optiguard. It is being done by a professional detailer not myself.
Optiguard is a more heavy duty coating than 2.0, harder, but also required pro installation. And it comes with a warranty.

From a maintenance perspective, I plan to wash my car carefully same as I normally would. But I am expecting that it will resist marring pretty well. My Bel/LI install is on Tuesday. I will let you know how it goes. I brought my Kustom Prolaser 3 with me, so I will be able to test and hone the install with the installer.
