Delivery of my M5
Well the day finally came, my 2013 M5 finally showed up last night. It's been a rough few months since my first one blew up on my ED trip.
BMW NA stepped up to the plate and made the situation right, it's now almost fully resolved. Details on new car: AW Black Merino extended Driver Assistance Executive Package 20" alloys B&O Piano Trim |

So there were 2 different blowups during that first week of ED's? Was yours Oil pump related as well?

Happy for the arrival and glad that BMW worked with you on it. But, I have to ask, how did the car "blow up"? Different meanings for blowing up and exactly what did happen? Did the motor actually throw a rod or something as mechanically explosive as that? Or was it some electrical gremlin that kept the car from running properly? Appreciate the knowledge, thanks.

Ahh, you got to ride it into the ground, not a happy feeling to hear the death rattle!! I'm so glad I ordered after you early enthusiasts and didn't have to deal with the emotional turmoil of that whole episode. Not fun even with no damage at all.
