Shift Lights in M-Drive

Cant seem to get these to be functional.
I havent found any submenu in M-Drive that turns these on or off.
I am in S3, HUD active and M-Drive illuminated. Just rpms and speed.
Am I missing something?

Are you letting it rev up to redline? Thats when they start to illuminate.

ya I believe they go active as you approach redline. MUCH more useful than the M view on the E60 M5
