M5 "decided" it wants break-in service again
Long story short: did the 1200 mile break-in service with ~1275 miles on the car. All seemed well. Launch control (LC) worked once. Fast forward 1000 miles. Try LC again, nada... Check car info, see all green with "OK" except break-in service showing red and saying I'm 1000 miles past due.. Dealer try's to reset it using the dash button. Dash shows reset option, reset tried, break-in goes from red to yellow but still says I'm past due for service. Pull car into service bay, dealer hooks up to OBD port, tries to "manually force reset", no effect. Break-in service remains yellow. I'm told it will likely require the new "CBS" software coming out in March to resolve the issue.

Dealer called yesterday evening saying its ready for pickup. Said the reason it took so long was a problem encountered during the software download. We'll see....
