RKP F10 M5 front lip (now available)
To this date, composites manufacturer RKP has specialized in obtaining the unobtainable- exterior components from the BMW M3 GTS, ensured by BMW to be impossible to purchase directly were faithfully reproduced in the highest level of quality. Now, RKP takes the next step forward in their evolution as a composites manufacturer. The RKP front lip for the F10 M5 attempts to go above and beyond the standard fare of aerodynamic parts available for BMW M cars. Where most front lips simply extend and lower the front of the car, the RKP lip adapts the original BMW design, and attempts to expand on what’s already there. Instead of simply jutting straight from the front bumper, the RKP F10 M5 front lip is designed with BMW’s own design language in mind, integrating the crisp lines of the front bumper into the lip’s surface. The body lines molded into the front bumper of the M5 are retained in the outside surfaces of the front lip, and move and flow into the front lip’s outer surface to create a piece that is visually cohesive. This F10 M5 front lip fits perfectly against the M5’s front bumper, leaving essentially no gap after the lip is installed. Installation is accomplished using 3M adhesive tape, and fasteners that are already present in the front bumper. No drilling is required to install the front lip, and no new hardware is used. The RKP front lip does not lower the M5’s ride height as it does not extend past the lowest point of the front bumper. Each RKP front lip for the F10 M5 is built from 100% carbon fiber, and is available in plain or twill weave. Extreme care is taken to ensure that each lip has an excellent weave pattern and alignment, with no misweave or flaws. RKP F10 M5 front lip 1x1 or 2x2 weave = $1295.00 Item can be found on the IND website: https://ind-distribution.com/product?sku=RKP-F10-M5FL To complete an order please give us a call at 866.963.4520 or you can send payment direct to paypal id info@ind-distribution.com

Looks like it is an oem option. Well done.
I was wondering if closing the gaps in the oem bumper had any negative influence on airflow or cooling. And can it take 200mph driving? Thanks. |

The coolers on the F10 will continue to function without issue- the E9x M3 has a very similar cooling and ducting arrangement, and accepted front lips without issue, with even BMW Motorsport themselves offering front lips for the car. The RKP front lip is an incredibly snug fit against the OE M5 front bumper, and would almost stay in place without 3M adhesive tape. A very strong installation is ensured by using adhesion promoter prior to applying the tape (to a clean surface), 3M adhesive tape, and the original BMW fasteners found on the bottom of the front bumper. I have complete confidence that the front lip would not detach from the front bumper well into the triple digits.

Just put it on my car. This is probably the best fitment on an aftermarket part I ever experienced (and I've seen a lot). The installers were amazed by the quality and craftsmanship (and they have seen a lot). Thanks IND!

http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=812810 The 2x2 is not any stronger than the 1x1 weave. It comes down to personal preference. Also if you are going to be adding any OEM BMW performance parts then I recommend going with the 2x2 weave so that the lip matches all of the other carbon parts. The lip is very easy to install and takes around 10 mins total. It comes with everything required for install and there is no need for any drilling or glue. For install we recommend EAS http://www.europeanautosource.com/ or Autotalent http://www.autotalent.com/ Please let me know if you need anything else.

RKP F10 M5 front lip spoiler is in stock and ready to ship. This front lip is designed with fitment and finish as the top priority. The RKP F10 M5 product line supports U.S. jobs by conducting both the design and manufacturing process in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Do not settle for sub par fitment and construction! The RKP F10 M5 front lip spoiler is manufactured of full carbon fiber and utilizes a UV protected clear coat. The end result is no yellowing or delaminating that is typically seen on overseas carbon replica parts. Each RKP lip spoiler comes pre-drilled with double-sided tape adhered and ready for install.
