^^ No problem, I shot your info you posted over to David as soon as he gets a chance(I believe he is off today) to take a look ill let you know his feed back.

once the cars start to hit lots this thread will really take off. The whole point of this thread will be for buyers to see what others are paying and also buyers to post their deals and make sure they are not getting taken advantage of.

I see it all the time on the other pricing threads. Buyer gets X amount off MSRP thinks they are getting a killer deal only to find out the dealer marked up money factor and hidden fees, etc.. which results in buyer paying more then what they received off the MSRP. Not all dealers are like this but some are and if the community can help each other out then we can all rest a little easier

Ill also update the post with current rates etc.. as we get them so we are all in the loop.

PS 14,000 post, thanks bimmerpost community

GOLFRR - so let me run this by you and tell me if I am out to lunch which I strongly suspect I am given likely demand in the US and limited uptake of the convertible! I suspect if I get 1-2% off MSRP on top of 7% ED and limit all doc fees to $500 I'd be doing very well. For background I have bought my last 3 cars all in last 12 years at my local dealership and hence why I would even attempt this pitch - does either my target or pitch price seem reasonable from your experience?

If you can get any amount off ED MSRP and have the correct fees etc.. with no mark ups then yes thats a great deal given the supply and demand of these cars. All the dealers I have talked to that are doing ED are sticking to ED MSRP at the least, some are marking it up for buyers who want to do ED.

when you finalize your deal with your rep please post it up and then we can give you a better idea before you pull the trigger

GOLFRR" All the dealers I have talked to that are doing ED are sticking to ED MSRP at the least, some are marking it up for buyers who want to do ED."

Yep that is what I unfortunately suspect also i.e. flat on MSRP but would be disappointed if they reduced ED discount - will definitely post once concluded but will be a while yet before I finalize i.e. I am assuming it would be Spring 2015 pick-up although I suppose not impossible it could be Fall.

Is there truly exceptionally high demand for this car? It doesn't seem that way to me.

Maybe in Cali, but not around here... multiple dealers in NJ are offering nice discounts. You just have to look.

I believe we ordered from the same place (JMK) - are there any other (better) deals out there?

JMK offered $2500 off ED or US MSRP - either one. Only thing is their policy is for the buyer to be present for all initial paperwork. That can be problematic for anyone not in their area. Still that is an amazing deal at this time and if they do it there must be other dealers too.

Personally I know of only one dealer who is completely out of allocations for M4 only. I am sure there are others but I have talked to 5+ that I have dealt with in the past and all had allocations with more to come early May.

So what do these tell us?

Still my order is with a dealer I know well. I want to make sure all goes fine since I have a very specific ED date I want to keep and then will do PDC redelivery. It is for ED MSRP.

Demand will pick up when BMW finally starts marketing the car properly. The E46 M3 had tons of reviews out there before the US release - if the new car gets similarly great reviews, we will see demand increase.

Another note - the cars are built on the same line as the standard Series cars, which may mean better supply overall.

Need leasing/ED help

Here is what i was quoted:

73,775 MSRP
72,775 Selling Price
3yr/10k mile lease at .0013 MF
3% Sales Tax (NC)
1033.35 Base payment
1064.35 Monthly Payment( Base Payment + Tax)
2101.28 down [ 1064.35 + 536.93(dealer fee) + 500(regristration fee)]

If i pay for the 925 Acquisition fee and the 199 Vin Etch fee upfront

3225 Down payment
983.16 Base payment
1012.65 Base payment + 3% sales tax

I will be in europe from August 17th -31st for Vacation so if I can get an allocation for that time frame i will more than likely pull the trigger since i could save money by not having to go back to do a ED.

ED quote is was given is an MSRP of 67800 with a lease payment of 949.10 and roughly 2000 down.

I am new to Bimmerpost but am an huge M fan. I have owned two e39 M5 and i am currrently on my 2nd E60 M5.

But i will admit the deals on the 2014 M5's are also tempting me.

Thanks for all the help

Ok, base price ED should be $57,710.

Base Price USA port entry: $62,000

From there you can pick your options and that should give you an idea.

ED Money Factor is .0016 and make sure residual is calculated using US MSRP

So i re-worked my numbers using the .0016 MF and adjusting my options:

71,875 US MSRP
67,585 ED MSRP
58% residual
36/10k
.0016 MF
3% Sales tax

If i pay me fees upfront along with the 1st down payment i calculated
921.03 per month including sales tax. Does this look correct?

No if i can just find an ED allocation for Mid August!

Suave, I have a deal but after reading the posts I realize I might pay too much for a base car. The deal is
64,875 US MSRP
60,575 ED MSRP
58% residual =35,133.5
36/10k
.0017 MF
925 Ac fee
200 License
Customer cash 1675.71

Monthly base 896.68
Tax 53.8

Payment 950.48

Can you advise me please what is wrong with this?
Thanks

I have the ED week 33

thank you, but even with that I don't think that the payment will change too much.

Is something wrong with the residual?
Thanks
