Steering wheel after service.
I meant to post this a while back, but got busy and didn't have a chance to.
I picked up my car after service and decided to wipe the steering wheel with a wet wipe for leather. The wet wipe ended up being completely black from all the dirt. Do you guys ever do that after service? What is the outcome? I know they cover our seats for service, but I think they should also come up with something to cover the steering wheel with or at least wipe it before the car is returned to the customer. Thoughts?

I usually clean up the steering wheel the same way you described every other month and I come up the same result as you even there is no service involved...
it's part of leather structure I thing ... and of course the dirty hand

They shouldn't get into a car dirty period. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten into my previous cars with tan or white interior and you see grease smudges.

I have never done this but I will be definitely wiping things down after I get my car back from service this week.
It'll also have the Dinan tune installed so I will make sure to snap a pic of my odometer before dropping it off as well. What wipes do you guys recommend for the leather?

They have covers. They use them during ocean transit in some brands.

That is a cool cover. Where did you get it from?
I use Meguiar's leather wipes right after a baby wipe. Keep in mind normal wipes have alcohol in them to kill the germs, but they also ruin leather. I use a leather wipe right after to keep it from being damaged.

I do the same thing and use the plastic covers when taking my car in for service. You can get them from amazon. I sort of feel like a twit, but hate it more when they get oil on my steering wheel.
