Chris Harris on Cars - McLaren 570S on road and track
Looks like he loves it!
Now the only question is, what's a better value? A used 12C or a new 570S? Also here's a good article on it here from Road and Track. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...s-first-drive/

30-40 less HP but better look (subjective) and newer model (technology) is my pick
Hopefully has better handling too ... I also like the interior of 570s

Interior of the 570S looks much better and much more practical. Love the fact that they lowered the door sill for easier entry and egress. The 570S beats a Huracan from 0-100 and still comes with good cupholders, a very nice sound system, ample storage space, and better ergonomics all for less money than the average supercar. Win!

Umm ... I don't think so ...

For one, I do feel that Chris Harris is a bit partial to his McLarens. Looks are subjective but I'm not a fan of the McLarens. I've never driven one, so, maybe they're indeed awesome cars. Think I might be getting bored with cars and should seriously look at the superbikes next.

I'm the same way. I do not doubt that they are great drivers cars and that the performance would be very impressive. But beyond respect and appreciation for the brand I just have no real interest. But McLaren fans will be happy and rightfully so. A nice way to enter the brand for sure.

But nowadays you have four door sedans like M5 RS7 easily go under 9 seconds, and higher end sports cars getting under 7 seconds for 0-100mph. |

Unlike Huracan vs Aventador, I can't see a reason or any performance metric where the 570S would match or surpass a 650S Spider.
0-100, 0-200, skidpad, lateral acceleration, etc. all favor 650S>570S So someone at Mclaren Life forums asked: Quote:
A 570S would not surpass or even match the performance of a 650S. Analogy: 650S = Iphone 6S 570S = Iphone 5C |
