My new M5

New owner of a 2013 M5 Black Sapphire/ Silverstone.
Was considering an e60, but once I drove the DCT I was sold.
So far, I'm happy. Exploring countermeasures now so I can truly enjoy.

Honestly still getting to know it. After about 500 mixed miles though various settings, I am impressed overall with it's initial impression. Truly a multi-personality car - buttoned up when necessary and full on beast mode when I'm on a run by myself. The torque is unreal and puts a smile on my face every time.
Couple minor annoyances, like a rattle in the driver's side door and some oil consumption, but nothing material.
Appreciate this forum - as a new member, it's been very informative and helpful, if not detrimental to my wallet

Already ordered the LED kit from EAS and am considering 12mm spacers to improve the stance.
Just opened the valves on the stock exhaust for a marked improvement on the stock note- especially during cold start.

Also ordered some leather masters per stealth's endorsement so I can freshen up the silverstone interior.

Congratulations! It's a great car, and smart to buy used. Countermeasures are key.

Congrats! I agree with Stealth, countermeasures are a must. I'm also looking at getting 12mm spacers for mine.

Congrats, I had an E60 many years ago. I miss the V10. Last Tuesday I replaced my 2014 Audi S4 with a pre-owned 2013 M5 with all option except B&O audio. I spent the weekend detailing the car.

I am glad I am back in an M car

Thanks guys ... appreciate the input. I just stretched her legs today with a 80 mile roundtrip jaunt to the airport and back for a biz trip. Really starting to enjoy this car. As trivial as it sounds, getting the proper seating position is key (at least for me), and I feel like I just got it dialed in.
So far, I've programmed M1 to S+, S, S , 2 . I'm sure this will change, but I'm having fun with variety.
One thing is for sure: countermeasures are DEFINITELY mandatory!
So, as I continue to research, it seems that the Bel StiR with ALP is popular on this board and has received numerous accolades. Is this still the latest consensus?
I realize there are hardcore V1 guys out there as well who run that with LI and swear by that kit. I think I prefer to go stealth/built in.

Congrats Fasttoys on your new beast! I had an S4 guy give me a big thumbs up today on the highway.

Most people seem to be using the Macht Schnell spacers.
