If you want quiet no drone Agency Power Ti system is a great step up... Very please with quality, fit and NO DRONE compared to my noisy muffler delete that drove me made at 1600 rpm cruise.

just curious, on my AMG i removed the secondary cats and put straight pipes.. can something simple like this be done on the m5?
cut out a section of the exhaust and put straight pipes? i refuse to pay 4-6k for steel pipes. |

Corsa/Borla??
As someone who until recently always had an american v8, where Borla and Corsa are big names, does anyone have experience with the Borla cat back or Corsa mufflers? The Corsa on my CTS-V was pretty awesome and the stock M5 exhaust definitely needs a lot of help offer a sound to match the power it puts out.

I switched from the Turner muffler deletes to the Corsa axleback (basically a muffled Turner) and there was a signigicant reduction in sound and no more drone. I would say its a tad louder than stock. With that said, I thought the Turner deletes were perfect in loudness for me except for the droning which eventually got to me when stuck in commute traffic. And now I feel the droning is gone with the Corsa, but it seems too quiet.
The corsa f10 m5 youtube vids are not accurate in sound, I feel. It seems more quiet in reality......now debating whether to put my Turner deletes back on. Or, the Corsa now opens the door to go catless downpipes for a little more sound, something I would not consider with the muffler deletes for fear of being too loud. |

I highly recommend wiring them open... very easy to do and really brings out the burbles and pops and the downshifts are much more brutal |

Under 3k rams with valve closed it is a little louder than stock. In Sport and Sport plus much louder, WOT sounds exactly like Akra with Catless Downpipes. I am very happy with it so far.
