So awesome. Can see it now. Kids only have 10 min to get to school. No worries we can still cruise for 5 more minutes...

Power comes on so fast now! Before it felt a little sluggish at the beginning but now... wow! Carbon fiber driveshaft really lightened up the acceleration. Now time for some sticky tires. These are toast...

This is what a bent rod sounds like for those of you that wanted to know. The day after the build was underway. Not a fond memory as it has spent more time under a tarp than I have driving it, but now that I've clocked over 10k miles on the new set up I can say I'm happy it happened.

With all of the rumors of people breaking driveshafts, diff support bracket, and halfshafts we decided to go on ahead replace them before they became a problem.

What mods and whp were you pushing when this happened? Were there any other contributing factors?

Thanks. When I see this it makes me leery about tuning my car. Any suggestions on the direction one could go to make more power (50-100 hp) while staying semi-reliable?

Depends on how it's tuned and subsequently maintained. I put over 20K miles in the 750-850whp levels and drove the car HARD.

If you want reliability without having to think about it stay under 700whp.

Oh yeah - anything above stock needs min 93 octane. That is the #1 reason mildly modified setups break.

What about 92? Here in Hawaii we have 92 and the most I plan on doing is a VF stage 2 tune. Think I will be okay or should I look into a water/meth solution? I would be fine with just water, but don't really want to go anywhere near meth if I can help it.

Sorry OP for the off topic.
