why is Moonstone so hard to photograph?

I have noticed that moonstone is very hard to photograph. It never looks close to the rich detail of moonstone when you snap photos. Having a professional shoot some pictures for me this weekend.

Also Amazonite Silver, Pure Metal Silver, and Rhodonite Silver are also very hard to capture. You need a skilled photographer for sure.

Looks almost pearl white in the first few pictures and more silver in the last photos ... beautiful color!
