intermittent timing issue (crank or cam sensor?)
car was misfiring today, as got warmer it gradually managed to hold idle and then after a while wouldnt cut out under revs, looked logs and car was idling and on partial throttle at 25degrees of timing then cutting to 0 on misfires. from my basic knowledge ive taken this as likely to be the crank or cam sensor playing up, even more annoying the car is now running fine and returned back to normal with car running fine. do these cars have any common issues with cam or crank sensor and where is the crank sensor located?

FYI: Crank position sensor goes into the side of the bellhousing

What you described is a bit vague. If you can perform a read from your OBD II, you can maybe see what codes your getting. The misfire could be coilpack, sparkplug, fuel pump, pressure regulator, bad fuel.....or intermittent cam/crank sensor. Kind of in that order more or less. There's even more things that can cause a misfire, but those are the most common.

Fast i changed the crank sensor today and problem remained but car started driving better longer it was running. I was making alot of boost on meth and jb4 so i left meth on and turned extra boost additive off. With the big cm10 nozzles i think i may of thrown my adaptions out the window as afr, timing and fuel trims were all over the place. After putting 50miles on the car its now driving as should as afr, timing and fuel trims and back where they usually are. Not sure what happened but me messing it up is a high possibility with cm10 nozzles to keep afr in range at lower boost fuel is probably reduced alot. All new to me but its all back to normal.
