BMW M5 F10 Prices - Feb onwards
HI All
Only joined the forum yesterday. Currently an owner of an F10 520d, looking to change to an F10 M5 in March or April. Looking at 13/14 plate, 20-30k for around £30-£32k. I am aware the F90 M5 is launched in the UK in February. I would be keen to find out if this new launch will impact on used F10 prices, and if so when the hit would be seen? Be interesting to see if any other countries where the F90 has already been launched, saw a price drop outside the usual depreciation slope. Thanks Rob |

I'm in the same boat as you are currently yet in the USA market. I've already since the F10 drop into the $40k USD range which is about $28576 pounds. And its been on sale since Nov 2017. I'd guess around April/May hopefully you'll see the same results

Its interesting for such a specialist bit of machinery, the mileage doesn't seem to impact on price that much, not as much as I thought anyway. So will certainly be looking for a low mileage example. |

I don't think it will make any difference. Not a huge amount of people queuing up for a £90K motor

I doubt there will be significant drop in prices post launch of F90 M5. If anything Dec/Jan is a good time to buy when you could squeeze a good bargain. I got my M5 last month after tracking prices since July/August. I think prices tend to be more during summers but this could be just my observation.
If you are in no rush, best to look out for a high spec car, better still with a CP. You will get a decent 13 or early 14 plate for around 30-32k. Of course, if you are after BMW approved then that would be another 3-4K dearer. I am not sure that is worth it. I got mine through an independent dealer and got RAC comprehensive checks done. You could take out BMW or third company warranty (Motoreasy etc) to be safe and still save money. |

Check what they are offering. From memory they do 3 different levels and the most comprehensive was about £1650-1700. Good luck! |

The value is falling. I was watching several fully optioned/loaded cars at manheim here in NY/NJ area with around 35k miles-36k miles go from 34k-36k.
Also some good decently loaded high mileage (60k-70k) examples are for sale right now for around 32k-33k lease returns from BMW. I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a high mileage one myself. |

This was auction prices. I ended up paying much more for a cleaner vehicle. The thing with the dealer auction I noticed many car there were not good on maint. A bunch of examples I saw were 6k-10k overdue for an oil service. Don't want to bother with a car like that just to save a few grand. |
