The promised video to DIY DCT fluid change. EDIT!!! Make sure to use ISTA+ and use the "Service Function". A German Forum member said it would make a difference...I didn't believe it. I re-checked my fluid level again using ISTA+, and there actually was a 400ml difference. I know that's not much, but still better to be safe.
I've added the ISTA+ bit into the video...it's just an overview of using the program when performing the fluid fill. Last edited by Fast400; 02-24-2018 at 10:48 AM.. |

If the transmission is a new exchange, then yes. If you are simply draining, filling, and changing filters, you'll get approximately 6.5 Liters out.
I think doing it twice would be a waste of money, for normally used M5 |

Folks! I just learned a bit extra.
A German M Forum member said I should have used ISTA+ to measure temperature and perform the "Service Function". He said it may make a fluid level difference. So I figured what the heck, I'll re-check using ISTA+. I expected no change in fluid level. I wound up adding about 400mL on top of the 6.5L I added previously. I couldn't believe it! I don't think it would be super detremental, but if we're going to do it, we want to do it right....so I'm going to edit the video to show the ISTA+ portion too. |

Hmm, thanks for adding that, it looks like I'm going to have to factor in purchasing ISTA+ now, this is not going to be cheap but still cheaper than the dealers and ISTA+ can be used for other things I suppose. So 7 litres of oil now. |

How much was the mojo power pan? I can't seem to find where to purchase it online. Did you go through HTD performance? |

Did you end up using the filters that come with the mojopower kit? Or did you go OEM? |
