Price Check on 2016 M5
Looking to purchase either a M5 or M3.
I have my eyes on this M5. 2016 Pure Metal Edition 16K Miles. Non-CPO. 73K. https://www.schompbmw.com/inventory/...fv9c59gg343679 I really like the car but I feel for a non-cpo it is priced high. They are not willing to budge either. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! Last edited by armanslr; 05-09-2018 at 01:47 PM.. |

Ad says the exterior color is silverstone metallic. i think for a non competition and non CPO M5, $73k is too high in my opinion. I'd ask why the car isn't certified. When a dealer doesn't certify an M car it always raises a red flag with me.

Gotcha, ok. Idiots should state that in the ad to show its value then lol. I'd ask about them certifying the vehicle though since you're paying a premium you should get that benefit.

They are not interested in CPOing the vehicle. As far as pricing goes, its hard to compare because not a lot of 16 M5's are available for sale. I've seen 15 CPOs for ~60K with 30K miles. So I think this one would be worth ~ 67-68K but they won't budge.

2016 M5 Comp
There are a ton of 2016s out there. The pure metal silver M5 has been dropping in price weekly.

hard to say what they have into it. They offered me 60 for my car with only 10k miles on it. I would say wait and see if the price keeps dropping and my guess is it will. I took a friend over to look at it and the interior is amazing but it does just look like silver to me. Still a great car.

Were you able to test drive the vehicle? I am 900 miles away so more then likely would only make the trip if I was planning on purchasing. |

We did take it out and it was similar to my car. did not really get out on the freeway but It's a fast car like most M5s. Have you driven a regular comp M5?

Like a extended warranty through BMW? Such as ELW? To be honest, I'm not sure, but I believe he can though since it isn't treated like CPO.
I know for sure you can purchase a reputable warranty through a third party such as Fidelity Warranty Services (Deerfield Beach, FL). I've had them covered many AMGs and M cars I've owned without issue. They covered a new SMG clutch and flywheel on my old E60 M5. Total payout for all repairs on that car was about $30k~. On our S65 AMG, they've paid out the same as well. All cars were tuned and modded. But it all depends on the inspector they sent out to verify repairs if they say something. Most don't care honestly. (Used to work at my BMW dealer in college). But for something as simple as Dinantronics unit, I wouldn't worry at all! |

I think the price is fair given its a pure metal edition which includes CCBs and only a handful were made. If it was a standard colored M5 with comp and premium etc...I would suggest the price is about 5-7k too high but that car probably wouldn't have CCB's either. Plus it would be much easier to talk them down since there is much more of them.
If you like it and everything checks out, I wouldn't mind paying a tad more or just getting an OK deal to get the right car.

I've never seen the color in person. I think if I was local and saw it and fell in love then I can see myself paying the premium for the car, but for ~70K you can pretty much have your pick when it comes to a F10 M5.

at one point there were around 15 for sale in california it does have the ceramic brakes but has the hk stereo which is not as nice as the b&o the white contrast stitching on the seats is a nice touch i traded my 2014 with zcp in for it because i loved the color and wanted the ceramic brakes the exhaust is also different and sounds better than the stock zcp exhaust the sticker is 133,195 new it also has the m drivers package which unlocks the speed limiter, to 190 mph not that it is needed this also included a one day m school coupon it is a bitch not to have warranty these cars can run up quickly on maintenance if none, not sure i would pull the trigger Last edited by cassidysdad; 05-14-2018 at 10:13 PM..
